60 Sales

I hit 60 sales on Etsy, I can hardly believe it!

I made a pink version of the polar bear, but I totally forgot to take a picture before I gifted it to a co-worker.  Oh well it’s fairly quick to make compared to the sheep!

I am playing around with making another llama while also improving my pattern.  I had messed up some of the stitch counts on the face so I fixed and uploaded that, and I know some of the decreases don’t work out perfectly with how it reduces.  I wasn’t sure how to handle that.  It seemed like way too much work to evenly decrease down and I tend to just round off or specifically note when it’ll be uneven. I will have to add in how many repeats of each set to do, or something.  I’ll have to think about that.

Lavender Sweet Sleepy Sheepy!

I am so obsessed with making these right now, I am going to fill out my shelf before I get tired of it again I think!  I really wish I could get a child to model one of them though, even though I take picture of them on a couch, next to pillows, and on a chair, I think it’s hard to gauge the size but I am fresh out of kids around the age of 5 unfortunately.  Mine are 12 and 16!

I don’t know why but I really like putting wings on stuff!

Not Buying Yarn

So!  I’m not buying yarn for a bit so that’s making me more creative with what I got.  I decided to make a pink on pink Sweet Sleepy Sheepy with what I had in stash.  I have enough where I could make probably 2 more.

Always Improving

I mentioned before I like to try to improve patterns that I’d done, if necessary, and I’m trying that again.  For my sheep pattern I am now making the ear look better by making an inner layer that I sew into the outer ear, like so

:

The outer ear is white, and the inner is peach like the face and feet.  I did not do this on the black and white sheep because I was trying to match what an actual Suffolk sheep looked like and their ears are not fuzzy. Of course, from the pictures I’ve seen they also don’t have the fleece over their head either, but hey it’s a style choice!

I am also almost done with a pink on pink version I am really liking.
